Please Can you… and working with young people who may experience Racism
As part of Black History Month 2026, and in recognition of this year's theme,"Honouring Our Communities," we invite colleagues to take part in the Proud to Be Me Workforce Challenge, this week we would like you to look as these documents and refresh your memories.
Created in partnership with young people from the Proud to Be Me Children in Care Council, these challenges encourage us to listen, learn and reflect on the importance of culture, identity, belonging and representation for children and young people in care. The group's powerful message asks us to embrace every child's culture, help them understand their history, support their wellbeing, and celebrate who they are, while challenging assumptions and ensuring every young person feels valued and respected.
