Being cared for by a relative
You may live with a relative, or a close family friend who knows you very well. This is called Kinship Care.
Kinship carers are checked, assessed and supervised like other foster carers.
There are rules to make sure all children and young people are kept safe, their rights are respected and they are treated well. Government inspectors make sure these rules are being met.
Please talk to your social worker if you have any worries or concerns, or contact us on involvement@essex.gov.uk
