Personal Education Plan (PEP)

This forms part of your overall Care Plan.

The PEP meetings take place at your school and can include you and your:

  • social worker
  • Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO)
  • Foster carer
  • Designated teacher

The meetings are important to understand how you are doing at school and if anything else in your life may be affecting your ability to learn.

Targets will be set and your positive achievements will also be identified and celebrated.

If you are having difficulties at school then you can talk to your social worker, foster carer or teacher

The https://www.rethinkessexadvocacy.org/ can help you put your views across if you are worried about talking at your PEP meeting.
