Children's homes

Children's homes are another way in which the local authority can look after you and are sometimes the best way to give a young person the best in life

A children's home is where a group of young people or children sometimes live together with staff. They each have their own room within the home.

Before moving to a children’s home your social worker will give you a card that has lots of information about the children’s home where you’ll be living.

All children’s homes have their own special guide which will tell you more about it. If you don't have one of these, ask a member of staff for a copy.
